I was commissioned by the U.K. based magazine Finger Food to create create two illustrations for their captivating editorial piece titled “Cook Like It’s 1934.” The article recounts the author's fascinating journey of discovering a 1934 cookbook and embarking on the culinary adventure of recreating three intriguing dishes from its pages. Inspired by the fusion of vintage recipes and contemporary kitchen culture, my aim was to seamlessly blend the ambiance of a modern-day kitchen scene with the elegant art deco aesthetic of 1934. Through careful attention to detail and a harmonious balance of elements, I sought to transport viewers to a bygone era while simultaneously celebrating the timeless allure of culinary exploration.
